Staying the Course

When you scroll through Facebook or Instagram, it can be easy to feel like you’re the only one struggling. And it’s often during those tough times that ads come into your feed that make you feel even worse. You know the ones. A perfectly groomed person in an exotic locale touts a service they ‘discovered’ and made a gazillion dollars from by accident. They’re sipping a cocktail by the beach after making thousands from sending an email from their list. And you’ve just spent three hours trying to work out how to navigate Facebook ads! It’s enough to make you shut your computer and reach for the closest comfort food. Struggle, doubt and wanting to give up are natural parts of the entrepreneurial/creative journey. But what separates the success stories from the silent failures is resilience. It’s the ability to navigate through doubts and fears; to cope when challenges pile up in short succession, and to never lose sight of the long-term prize. In essence, being resilient is like being a marathon runner- it’s about digging deep to go the distance. This doesn’t mean that you push yourself through every challenge. Sometimes you need to focus on other areas of your life, or take a rest. Other times you need to take time out and reassess your direction or your options. The important thing is to keep moving forward, even with stops and starts! If you’re at a cross roads and don’t know where to turn, it might be a good time to book in for free 20-minute discovery call with me. I’d love to see how I might help you stay the course and keep moving forward towards your dreams. Just email me at darcy@storieswithsass.com to get started! Darcy xo
